Embark on an extraordinary journey through Italy with our curated Art and Gastronomy tour, designed to take you off the beaten path. Indulge with plenty of built-in “You” time. Enjoy a special escape into Michelangelo’s path, meander through the narrow streets of Naples, and soak in the breathtaking sights of Sorrento & the Amalfi coast; Prepare to be awestruck as your eyes and palate are treated to the marvelous splendors of Italy.

I highly recommend Christine Frechard’s travel package.

Christine selects interesting, and walkable cities and towns, provides a half-day tour with a professional guide, who introduces us to the town, and makes suggestions as to what to see. Then Christine lets us break up into small groups and explore on our own. At the end of the day we get back together to tell our stories of adventure. Barbara and I, joined with eight new friends, to see Troyes, (a medieval town in the Champaign district), Dijon (a renaissance city, in Burgundy district) and Paris, which is of course Paris. The travel package includes one meal a day, usually a gastronomic delight, and time to talk, and to drink a glass of wine. (The French do drink wine but just one glass. They savor it.) There are gift shops: I favored the pâtisserie and boulangerie and I ate a pain au chocolate every morning for breakfast. Barbara bought a French evening gown.
